The legend, this time with an electric version, has officially arrived on Slovenian roads.
Ford representative in Slovenia, Summit Motors Ljubljana, has finally brought Ford’s most electric car at the moment, the Ford Mustang Match E, to Slovenia.
As they admitted in the presentation, Ford isn’t the first brand to tackle electric mobility, and the idea of that isn’t entirely new to them either.

So Ford’s first electric car of the new era became the Mustang Mash-e, which the manufacturer says continues the idea of the first Ford Mustang, which in 1964 became synonymous with the American dream. It is said to combine the same ideas, although it is a whole new generation on a new electric platform.

On the outside, it’s a typical Ford Mustang with an exposed galloping horse logo, signature headlights, front vent and active vents covered in aerodynamics but open to cool the system. It also features a long, extended « bonnet » with « sharp nose » finishes, and despite the strong roofline, there’s enough room for five passengers underneath. The Mustang also does not have the classic door handles, which are replaced by buttons that are also supported by two small levers on the front doors. At the rear, the designers also retained the characteristic three-piece headlights, and the prominent sides emphasize the car’s width.

At the Ford Mustang presentation, David Juric, Ford representative manager in Slovenia, confirmed that Ford is fully committed to electrification, and will invest $50 billion in electric mobility development by the end of 2026. Although the Mustang mach-e comes from Mexico, However, it is true that it is not the most popular representative of electric cars. It’s just the beginning of Ford’s massive electrification to follow. At the end of the year, an all-electric Transit will arrive on the roads, and at the end of 2023, a mid-size electric crossover will arrive from the plant in Cologne. In 2024, they will introduce the new electric Puma and courier car, which will be joined by another mid-size crossover from Cologne at the end of this year.
The Mustang Mash-E is based on an electric platform developed specifically for it. Its central part is the battery, which ensures stability and a low center of gravity of the car, which also ensures good driving characteristics. The base engine is in the rear, but buyers can choose four-wheel drive with two electric motors on both fronts.

In the cabin there are comfortable seats for five passengers with synthetic leather covers, the driver selects drive programs using a button on the middle edge, steering wheel and windshield heating are installed as standard. It is also possible to have a panoramic roof with a special coating to prevent the ingress or loss of heat. The trunk has an empty space of 402-1,420 liters of empty space, and the 81-liter trunk remains in the front.

The Mustang mach-e will be available in four basic powertrain versions, as well as a special sports version of the Mach-e GT. As a base mustang mach-e, it will be available for at least €69,900 with a 198 kW rear-wheel drive and standard range. On top of this will be the premium musang mach-e, which will be available as either a 216 kW rear-wheel drive and extended range or all-wheel drive, 198 kW standard range or 258 kW eAWD extended range.

A 10-unit lithium-ion battery with a net capacity of 68 kWh will take care of the standard range, while a 12-unit battery with a net capacity of 88 kWh will provide an extended range. The maximum range will be about 600 km. Fast charging can be done with a power of up to 150 kW, ten minutes of charging should be enough for a range of up to 120 km, while slow charging is possible using alternating current with a power of up to 11 kW. The Mustang also provides a very solid recovery, especially if the driver uses the one-pedal option.

There are virtually no classic Mustang keys. More than eighty settings can be done via the screen, and the system and vehicle are also continuously upgraded via the Internet.
